There seems to be a fair amount of confusion surrounding the “merch code” in Roblox Pet Simulator X. People are wondering how to get it, what it does, and if it is free. Well, you’ll likely be a bit disappointed with the actual answer, because these are going to be extremely limited, and they certainly aren’t going to be free! We’ll walk you through what you need to know in this post.

What’s a merch code?
The merch code that is being talked about in terms of Roblox Pet Simulator X is a code that you can only receive if you purchase a real life Cat Plush from the Big Games Shop. This item has a limited stock, so when it is released they will likely be sold out pretty quickly.
Redeeming a merch code will also now get you the Rainbow Hoverboard in Pet Simulator X.
You were able to purchase the Cat Plush on September 5th, 2021 at 11am CST. They were priced at $49.95 USD. The Cat Plush has officially sold out in less than 2 minutes, so hopefully you were able to get one!
When you receive your Cat Plush, you will also receive an exclusive redeemable in-game merch code. This code will only be usable ONCE and is unique to the Cat Plush that was purchased. The code can only be obtained from the Cat Plush toy, so you can’t get one elsewhere unless someone who has the toy sells or gives it to you.
The merch code once redeemed in game will give you the Huge Cat pet that has the unique enchantment, Best Friend. This enchantment will make the pet as strong as your best pets. So, you will always have a place for it on your team.
The Huge Cat will also be marked with your unique serial number and username, forever! Even if you trade the cat, it will still be marked with the original number and name. You can own more than one of these if you wanted.
In closing, the merch code is not free, you can get it by purchasing the Cat Plush, and anyone claiming that they can get you the code for free is likely trying to scam you. These codes and stuffed animals will possibly be sold on things like eBay, but I’d be very careful about attempting to purchase one that way because the code could already be used or the listing somehow fraudulent.
